THE ARMED ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'THE FUTURE IS HERE AND EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED'

THE ARMED ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM THE FUTURE IS HERE AND EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED

WATCH THE DEVASTATINGLY BRUTAL VIDEO FOR FIRST SONG “WELL MADE PLAY”

ANNOUNCE SELECT TOUR DATES WITH SUPPORT FROM PROSTITUTE

The Armed have announced a new album, THE FUTURE IS HERE AND EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED, out August 1st via Sargent House. “Well Made Play” is the opening track and first single on the album—a grim reflection of a society that mistakes narcissism for self-awareness. The title references the 19th-century “well-made play,” a dramatic form built on clean narratives wrapped up with moral clarity—worlds that bear little resemblance to our own. It arrives with a dark, Christopher Gruse-directed video that offers a blunt, heavy-handed metaphor for the quiet humiliations of modern life. “While we chase distractions and small comforts, we’re pushed into endless competition with each other—often while those with real power take freely, right in front of us.” explains vocalist Tony Wolski. In it, two men beat each other senseless while chained together, fighting for the prize of a jet ski. A band plays, almost unnoticed in the background.

After completing a trilogy of albums laser-focused on dissecting artistic authenticity in the Information Age, The Armed began work on new material with no premeditated rules or concepts—favoring only raw expression and urgency to herald a new era for the project. What emerged is a furious and confrontational new album—THE FUTURE IS HERE AND EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED. Still genre-defying, yet overtly pissed, it's an unfiltered expression of Weltschmerz, the German term describing the anguish of the world’s reality versus our idealized visions of what it should be. “It’s music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can’t afford food or medicine—endlessly scrolling past vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of child amputees in the same feed. It reflects the dissociation required just to exist in that reality,” Wolski explains.

The Armed have also announced 9 exclusive headline dates in support of the album. Spanning from summer to winter cities include Boston, New York City, DC, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit. Support on the tour will include fellow Detroit area brutalists Prostitute. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday May 23rd at 10:00am local time.

The album includes performances by Ken Szymanski, Patrick Shiroishi, Urian Hackney, Kurt Ballou, Troy Van Leeuwen, Meghan O’Neil, Cara Drolshagen, Tony Wolski, Brian Wolski, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Ben Chisholm, Prostitute, Zach Weeks, Mark Guiliana, Kayleigh Goldsworthy, and Derek Coburn.

LA DISPUTE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'NO ONE WAS DRIVING THE CAR'

LA DISPUTE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM NO ONE WAS DRIVING THE CAR FOR SEPTEMBER 5TH VIA EPITAPH

ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN AND EU TOURS

LISTEN TO THE ALBUM’S FIRST ACT HERE + WATCH THE VIDEO FOR “I SHAVED MY HEAD”

Conceptual band La Dispute have announced their first album in six years No One Was Driving The Car for September 5th via Epitaph
. Self produced and heavily inspired by the 2017 psychological thriller First Reformed, No One Was Driving The Cargrapples with malaise in the shadow of the looming apocalypse, which has noticeably been worsened by the advancement of tech. The title comes from a quote from a police officer vocalist Jordan Dreyer read in a news article about a lethal self-driving Tesla crash, an absurd event which raises questions about the amount of control we have in our own lives. Throughout the album, screens and cameras disrupt moments of transcendence. It happens alongside flashes of mundane suffering—frequent daydreams of drowning, flashbacks to eye-contact with dead animals, experiences of decaying relationships and secondhand suicides—while Dreyer yells with a more primal sense and sings in a more refined way, and the guitars have a sharper edge than ever before.

Today the band released the first act of the album consisting of three songs: “I Shaved My Head,” “Man with Hands and Ankles Bound” and “Autoficion Detail”. “I Shaved My Head” arrives with a video and can be seen here. The first act details a single night in crisis inspired by Schrader’s “man in the room” trope. Dreyer explains:

It begins with a man examining his own slow dissociation from himself while shaving his head alone in a bathroom at night, then shifts through a neighbor’s open window to a conversation about control and desire, framed via the image of a man seen through it: bound on the floor with a woman standing before him, presumably a sex worker. when the woman exits the building (her companion still tied up), the narrator leaves his own, following less her than the idea represented by her inside his own struggle to reconnect to desires for life severed by time, self, and circumstance, or perhaps fleeing the implication he draws from the man left behind (his helplessness, maybe, or else his confidence to pursue something complicated where the narrator has so consistently failed). the third song follows him on that destination-less late night walk, among the street people and their disasters, ending where he had the whole night subconsciously always headed: the hospital where\ his partner works, at which point an internal reckoning occurs.

The rest of the album will follow within acts until its conclusion in September.

The band has also announced a North American tour. Kicking off September 5th at Detroit’s St. Andrew’s Hall the 14-date tour will hit Toronto, Brooklyn, DC, Nashville and more. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday May 16th. An EU tour will proceed the US tour. All dates can be found below.

N8NOFACE SIGNS TO STONES THROW, SHARES “WAITING TO WAIT FOR YOU”

N8NOFACE SIGNS TO STONES THROW RECORDS, SHARES NEW SINGLE “WAITING TO WAIT FOR YOU”

ON TOUR WITH EYEDRESS ACROSS THE US THIS SUMMER

Listen to "Waiting to Wait for You":

https://sthrow.com/waitingtowaitforyou

N8NOFACE (pronounced “Nate-no-face”) has signed with Stones Throw. To celebrate the signing, and ahead of touring this spring and summer, he’s released the new song “Waiting to Wait for You.”

N8NOFACE had already barely survived an insane Hollywood biopic of a gangster/rockstar life long before Fred Durst invited him to join Limp Bizkit’s Loserville tour, playing arenas across the US and Europe. His drug-addled ultraviolent lifestyle in Tucson, AZ, shaped the dark themes and chaotic sound of his music. Now on the other side of that turmoil, after relocating to Long Beach, CA in the early 2010s and cleaning up, N8's kept one foot firmly in the synth-punk world while also exploring his more vulnerable, tender side.

N8 began his music career as one half of glitchy chiptune Tucson duo Crimekills back in the MySpace era, recording one-minute songs on the fly in his closet. Since that time he’s collaborated with Eyedress and the Bloody Beetroots and performed with the likes of Cypress Hill as well as Limp Bizkit

N8’s signing to Stones Throw might surprise anyone aware of his past releases on Eyeball Records and Justin Pearson’s Three One G, but to those familiar with a certain dimension of Stones Throw’s catalog – from the Minimal Wave compilations to bands like Automatic – as well as N8’s range as an artist, it makes perfect sense.

Where N8's earlier music was fueled by his addictions and the dark tales of hometown friends associated with Mexican drug cartels, new song “Waiting to Wait for You” looks at the day-to-day frustrations of love. N8 says, “It’s about still finding joy in watching your partner try outfit after outfit on; feeling like your whole night is waiting to wait, and you can't wait to do it.”

He explains, “Most songs I have written have come to me through things I have seen or experienced (drug tales, border life and the streets), But I have always been a fan of love, and wrote about that too. Love found in the darkest places, sometimes by the scariest people. I always bounce back and forth from heartbreak in the streets or from a lover. This song explores the cool things about love, while still having a backdrop of the scary hard world around us.

For “Waiting to Wait for You”, N8NOFACE worked with producer/songwriter Marcos Garcia (aka Chico Mann, founding member of Antibalas and Here Lies Man), who’d previously backed N8NOFACE as his touring guitarist/keyboardist.

N8NOFACE performs at Cruel World festival this weekend before heading out on the road with Eyedress for The Stoner Tour this summer.

ISAIAH FALLS RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM 'LVRS PARADISE' (SIDE A)

ISAIAH FALLS JOINS SIR ON SELECT TOUR DATES STARTING MAY 7

WATCH THE VIDEO FOR “BUTTERFLIES”

FT. JOYCE WRICE HERE

Rising R&B artist Isaiah Falls unveils Side A of his debut two-disc album, LVRS Paradise, out now via LVRS ONLY/ROC NATION DISTRIBUTION. Expanding on the seductive world of his breakout EP Drugs N’ Lullabies, Falls introduces a deeper chapter of his sonic evolution–a moody, immersive space he calls “a safe place for lovers.” Across hazy grooves, after-hours textures, and intimate confessions, LVRS Paradise captures both sides of desire: the euphoria of new love and the serenity of being fully seen, leaning into moody textures. Indulging in the late-night vulnerability fans first fell for, with features from Ambré, Odeal, and Joyce Wrice, Falls traces intimacy and connection with ease, offering a portrait of love built on the courage to surrender. Listen HERE.

LVRS Paradise is an album for anyone who’s experienced true love,” Isaiah shares. “The highs and the lows! Whether you’re good or bad at love there’s a song on here for you.”

Side A opens with “FOR LVRS ONLY,” a lush, slow-burning invitation that sets the tone for the project’s meditative sensuality, painting the scene of gentle, intentional love. The focus track, “TRICK DADDY,” flips into a more playful, flirtatious gear–an anthem of extravagant devotion where Falls packages grand gestures and modern love languages in a confident, feel-good moment rooted in partnership and pleasure. On “BUTTERFLIES” featuring Joyce Wrice, Falls leans into the emotional high of infatuation, his syrupy cadences melting into Wrice’s dreamy harmonies. While “SEARCHING” featuring Odeal, uses ambient synths, vulnerable vocals, and an entrancing rhythm to capture the ache of longing an emotional distance. The project closes on a spiritual note with “HEAVEN2ME,” a gospel-tinged ballad that nods to the divine nature of love–a final exhale that elevates the romance to something bigger than the physical.

With LVRS Paradise (Side A), Isaiah officially steps into the next phase of his career—marking his first release under ROC Nation distribution. The partnership empowers his journey as an independent artist, giving him the freedom to shape his vision on his own terms while solidifying his place at the forefront of R&B’s new wave.

In addition to releasing his debut project LVRS Paradise (Side A), Isaiah Falls will join SiR’s Stepping Into The Light Tour as a special guest for 10-dates this May, kicking off May 7 at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. Isaiah and SiR–both torchbearers of R&B’s new wave are a can’t-miss double bill. Tickets are available HERE.

Rooted in his Orlando upbringing, Isaiah infuses the project with the city's vibrant yet laid-back energy, seamlessly blending soulful melodies with a distinct Southern charm. From sensual slow jams to genre-defying experiments, LVRS Paradisemarks Isaiah’s evolution–making R&B feel both dangerous and deeply romantic.

With comparisons to Drake, Bryson Tiller, and Brent Faiyaz, Isaiah Falls is cementing his place as one of R&B’s most exciting new voices. His breakout project, Drugs N’ Lullabies, landed on VIBE’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2024, which featured his breakout single, “Florida Baby,” earning him Billboard’s Rookie of the Month and spots on Billboard and Complex’s 2025 R&B Artists to Watch lists. Drugs N’ Lullabies was also praised by VIBE, Yams Magazine, and Rap-Up as one of 2024’s best albums, with VIBE naming “Butterflies” one of the year’s Best R&B Songs. Most recently, he delivered an exclusive performance of “DIVA” to mark the relaunch of Billboard Live. With features in UPROXX and VIPER Magazine, Isaiah Falls is on a mission to rekindle the romance in R&B–one soul-baring verse at a time.

It’s finally here. Today, multiplatinum-certified Memphis, TN rap superstar Key Glock proudly presents his mega-anticipated new album, Glockaveli, out now via Paper Route Empire/REPUBLIC. Listen HERE.

A bold and unfiltered statement, Glockaveli is Key Glock at his rawest — 18 tracks, zero features, and an unrelenting energy that turns pain into power and pressure into purpose. Recorded between New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Paris, the album captures the inner thoughts of a man who’s persevered and came out sharper, hungrier, and more locked-in than ever.

Leading the charge is the focus track “Blue Devil, where Glock pays homage to his Memphis roots with a fresh take on Three 6 Mafias iconic “Stay Fly. He dominates the hulking beat and hypnotic horns with a quotable and commanding flow. Wielding disciplined and deft rhyme-craft, it culminates with a confident affirmation during the rich refrain, “I’m nothing like them. I put paper over pleasure…If it’s about money, then you know I’m on it.

On “Made A Way, he takes stock of his journey so far through resounding gospel harmonies. In between, he looks back, “I still made my way. You can catch me on the private jet—long way from the Greyhound. Then, there’s the lusty “She Ready. It represents yet another side of his sound altogether as a sample of Barbara Mason’s soul classic “I’m Ready” melts into a call-and-response with Key Glock’s bars.

From motivational anthems to street scriptures, Glockaveli is an impactful body of work — one that speaks to success earned through struggle, confidence honed through prolific output, and a throne ordained for Glock’s arrival. Inspired by Tupac’s Makaveli in title and spirit, it channels that same fearlessness and vision for legacy.

This is not just a new era — it’s Key Glock stepping into his power. Check out the full tracklisting below.

He recently preceded the LP by unwrapping “The Grinch.Met with widespread applause, VIBE noted, “Glock’s effortless flow and sharp confidence remind us why he’s a force in modern rap.” UPROXX proclaimed, “On his latest single, “The Grinch,” Key Glockdemonstrates just how emotionally cold he can be. Just with the beloved fictional character, Glock embraces the perceived power that comes along with a show of brute force.”

This anthemic cut landed on the heels of “3AM in ToKEYo” and “No Sweat, which has already amassed north of 10 million global streams. In the latter’s wake, Pitchfork cited Glockaveli among “The 50 Most Anticipated Albums of Spring 2025.Plus, Brooklyn Veganpraised the song as “a fun dose of speaker-shaking, catchy Southern rap.” HotNewHipHopprofessed, “Key Glock has found the sound that works for him, and continues to excel in that lane.”

Next up, he launches the Glockaveli Tour. It promises to be his biggest and boldest North American jaunt yet. In support of the anxiously awaited album, he hits the road on May 21 in Oklahoma City, OK at The Criterion, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and concludes on June 30 in Las Vegas, NV at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. Along the way, he stops in Queens, NY on June 8 for Governors Ball.

Check out the full confirmed itinerary below.

Key Glock rose up out of Memphis and broke through into the mainstream on his own terms. He has quietly achieved a staggering level of success and prominence, generating eight billion streams, notching eight multi-platinum or platinum singles, seven gold singles, and three gold albums. Moreover, he has earned three consecutive Top 15 debuts on the Billboard 200 in addition to cracking the Billboard Hot 100. His music has appeared everywhere from the Fast & The Furious franchise to Madden. It’s no wonder Rolling Stone christened him one of “50 Innovators Shaping Rap’s Next 50 Years. At the same time, this excitement has translated to the road. During 2024, he impressively sold out the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, packing the house with over 10,000 fans.

It's just the beginning though.

Welcome to the age of Glockaveli, and all hail Key Glock.

Sexyy Red Nominated for "Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist" and "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" at American Music Awards

Sexyy Red rose from St. Louis to the top of the rap game without changing a thing about her unapologetic self. Today, the Northside Princess adds to her growing collection of accolades, as she garners two nominations at the 2025 American Music Awards. Sexyy Red will compete in the "Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist" category and earned a nod in the "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" category for "Whatchu Kno About Me," her PLATINUM-selling collaboration with GloRilla. These are Sexyy's first career nominations at the American Music Awards, and follow previous nominations at the 2024 BET Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.

Sexyy's AMA nominations arrive in the wake of her new single "Hoochie Coochie," a brash banger produced by Mac Fly, and "YN," a new collaboration that originated on stream with PlaqueBoyMax, gathering three of the underground's hottest emcees–Chicago's BabyChiefDoit, and Atlanta's Lazer Dim 700 and Baby Kia–to compete for her affections. Earlier in the year, Sexyy made a splash with "Fat Juicy & Wet," her all-star collaboration with Bruno Mars. With a music video that featured guest appearances from Lady Gaga and LISA, the hitmaking odd couple made a splash, debuting at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. To date, "Fat Juicy & Wet" has racked up hundreds of millions of streams across platforms, including 34 million views on the YouTube video, and just hit #1 on Urban Mainstream Radio. Earlier this month, Sexyy announced her new partnership with True Religion, officially becoming an ambassador for one of her favorite brands and launching her own "Own Your True" collection.

Sexyy is working hard on the follow-up to 2024's hit mixtape In Sexyy We Trust, looking to build upon a year that featured her career highlight singles "Get It Sexyy," "U My Everything," and "Rich Baby Daddy." Stay tuned for much more from the Northside St. Louis princess very soon.
